Lois Adams

Lois Dorthy Adams, age 90, of Middletown, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village.
Lois was born Aug. 24, 1922, in Banks, N.D., to Constantine and Louise (Steinsater) Sax. She was a wonderful homemaker. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, served as a poll worker and precinct chair for 20 years, was an avid reader and played duplicate bridge in several local clubs.
 She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert F. Adams, of 41 years, in 1986; and son, Gary Dell Adams, of Middletown, in November 2012; by seven Sax brothers; brother -in-law, John Adams, of Middletown and  sister-in-law Francis Johnson, of Kentucky.
Lois is survived by son, Rick C. Adams and daughter-in-law, Karen of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; daughter, Nancy Bucci, of Perrysburg, Ohio; five grandchildren, Lara Adams Gates, Katherine Adams O’Connor, Jill Adams Doyle, Sarah Ackman, Amy Bucci; four great-grandchildren, Parker Adams Gates, Erick Gregory Gates, Liam Rucker Ackman, Elizabeth Maeve O’Connor and sister, Violet Stenehjem, Fargo, N.D.
 A special thanks for many years of care provided by Butler County Elderly Services Program (ESP) and the end of life care by Hospice Care of Middletown and Mt. Pleasant Nursing Home.
A visitation was held at Zion Lutheran Church on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 from noon to 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service followed the service at the church with Pastor Moreland officiating.
