Eleanore Wielunski

Eleanore Jeanette Wielunski (Karlstad) was born in Watford City, N.D., on Feb. 6, 1936. She graduated  from Woodland High School in 1954. Arts & Cook employed her as an Escrow Clerk.
Ellie’s life as a military wife began June 13, 1962, when she married Michael Wielunski. She was blessed with two children early on. Ellie enjoyed volunteering as a Red Cross volunteer, being a member of the Officers’ Wives Club, assisting with the running of the base thrift shop, and raising her daughters. She enjoyed time spent with her four grandchildren, reading books and watching football. Ellie loved animals and had several cats and dogs throughout her life.
Eleanore is preceded in death by her parents, Hans Karlstad and Sylvia Enderud Karlstad.
She is survived by her husband, Michael E. Wielunski; daughters, Karen and husband Charles Linam, and daughter, Kristine and husband Kevin Bell; her four grandchildren: Christopher Bell, Joshua Bell, Patrick Linam, and Erika Linam; brother, Robert “Melvin” Karlstad and wife Margaret; her Uncle Jerry Karlstad and wife Irene; and numerous cousins in the Sacramento, Calif. area.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Austin, Texas. Burial was held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
