Carl Thorgramson

Carl John Thorgramson, 46, of Watford City, N.D., left this world surrounded by his family in Scottsdale, Ariz. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017.
Carl John Thorgramson was born June 25, 1970, to Wes and Jeanie Thorgramson. He graduated from Watford City High School. He went to college at Williston State to be a welder.
Carl and Renee got married on December 3, 1994. They had four beautiful kids, Shakira, Wes, Tanaya and Garrett.
Hunting, fishing and being at the lake were a few things he loved. But the most important thing in his life was his wife and kids. He loved watching their accomplishments and watching them grow.
He was always the first to pat you on the back for a job well done or give you a good swift kick if he thought you weren’t doing your best. “If you work hard you will go far. Do good things and good things will happen to you.”
Carl went to work for Nabors Drilling in 2000. He bled Nabors Blue and worked hard to become a drilling superintendent. He was very proud of his “oilfield family” and spoke of them often.
He was a one-of-a-kind man with incredible strength and courage like no other. He faced any and all things life brought his way, face to face, head on with an old fashioned work ethic.
In answer to your question little brother, yes, Dad would have been very proud of you.
Carl is preceded in death by his father, Wesley LeRoy Thorgramson.
He is survived by his wife, Renee; his beautiful children, Shakira, Wes, Tanaya and Garrett; mother, Jeanie;  brother, Donald; three nieces, Jennifer, Megan, Shannon and numerous family and friends.
