Arlene Wold

Arlene Wold, 82, of Watford City, N.D., passed away on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Watford City.
Arlene Joanne Wold was born June 23, 1934, on the family farm to Arthur C. and Mabel (Skoglund) Nelson.
She attended rural Nelson school until 8th grade. She attended Watford City High School and graduated in 1952 with honors.
She worked at First International Bank and later an oil abstract company. She then met her special husband, Wesley Wold, and was married at the Garden Lutheran Church on Oct. 30, 1954. They lived on the farm and ranch fifty plus years. She worked hard on the Nelson and Wold farms.
She was active in the Banks Homemaker Club and the Banks Lutheran Church. She was Sunday School teacher for many years and was active in the Banks Ladies Aid. Arlene also served as President of the Good Shepherd Home Auxiliary.
She loved her farm home. She raised flowers and enjoyed gardening, as well as helping where needed on the farm and ranch. Arlene loved to cook and bake, especially Lady Baltimore cakes. She always said her special hobby was cleaning house.
Wesley and Arlene spent a lot of time together and had a love like no other. Wesley passed away on July 4, 2008. After Wesley’s death she spent some time with her daughter in Wisconsin, where she made many friends.
Arlene continued to live on the farm until 2013, when she moved to the Horizons and in 2015, to the Good Shepherd Home. She dearly loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley, her parents, and one sister Phyllis Thorland.
