WCCBA announces plan to close Long X Liquor Store

The Watford City Community Benefit Association (WCCBA) has announced their intentions to close the Long X Liquor Store location, sell the remaining lease they hold for that location, and become strictly a charitable organization. The announcement was made public during the McKenzie Board of County Commissioner Meeting on Sept 19.
The WCCBA was founded in 1950 and over the last 73 years has actively worked with community organizations and local businesses to fund projects that positively impact McKenzie County. Some of these projects include the old hospital, the old visitor center, the hockey building, the new pool, The Good Shepherd Home, and the golf course.
In addition to their community work, the WCCBA has run the Long X Liquor Store for decades with the proceeds from the store going back into the community.
