Taxable sales show strong economic growth in North Dakota

On August 28, Tax Commissioner Brian Kroshus announced that North Dakota’s taxable sales and purchases for the second quarter of 2023 were up 17 percent compared to the same time frame in 2022.
This marks the ninth consecutive quarter that has seen positive growth in the economy of North Dakota. Additionally, since this growth streak began in the second quarter of 2021, every quarter has had a double digit growth over the previous year’s numbers.
