McKenzie County deputies were forced to use non-lethal force, including the use of a Taser and a K-9, in order to subdue and restrain a Watford City man after he threatened to stab and kill other people on Thursday, Sept. 19, at a rural residence.
According to court documents filed in Northwest District Court, shortly after midnight, officers responded to a call that Travis Michael Gentle, 37, had entered the victim’s room and was threatening to stab and kill him and another person.
Gentle is facing four Class C Felony charges including two counts of terrorizing, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and preventing arrest.
The two terrorizing charges each carry a minimum mandatory sentence of two years of imprisonment with no parole.
