PATRICE'S PERSPECTIVE

By Patrice Bumstead
General Manager of McKenzie County Media LLC
Farmer Editor

The past few weeks have been filled with both chaos and joy. In my personal life, I managed to step way out of my comfort zone and join some friends that I have not seen in a very long time for dinner. It was pretty fantastic being in their presence, if I do say so myself. As for the chaos, well, my husband managed to convince me to, again, step out of my comfort zone and join him in taking advantage of our gym membership. What?!? Sounds crazy, I know, but as much as I resist going, I have discovered that I rather enjoy a good workout. Who knew it was such a good stress relief? I’m sure lots of people, but not me. I digress.
In the office, our days have been equally filled with chaos and joy. The Farmer team has really been working hard to provide our readers with the very best newspaper each and every week. It is truly a blessing to have such a wonderful, dedicated staff willing to wear the many hats necessary when producing an award-winning newspaper. Not to mention our owners who continue to find ways to stay connected, stay local, and get involved with all of the wonderful things this small community has to offer. If you have not had the pleasure of meeting these gentlemen, I highly recommend giving our office a call so we can assist you in doing so, they are truly passionate about the community and everyone in it.
I have no doubt that many of our readers will bump into a Farmer staff member as Spring begins to make its arrival. You might run into one of us at a park, a community event, a gathering, baseball game, or maybe even the gym. If you do, I hope we will have an opportunity to say hello and get to know one another. After all, McKenzie County is, in my opinion, one of the best communities there is.
