Inga Emmaline Kadrmas, 85, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Aug. 25, 2010. She is now at peace after a long and courageous struggle with Parkinson’s disease. A memorial service for Inga and her husband will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sept. 11, 2010, at Clear Creek Lutheran Church in Keene.
Inga was born on Jan. 1, 1925, to Albert and Ingrid Nelson of Keene, N.D.
She attended Dickinson State College and became a teacher. Her students and community loved and admired her.
Soon after, she married Jerry Kadrmas, started a family, and moved to Torrance, Calif. Along with being a wife and a mother, Inga was a very diligent employee as office manager at Colorcraft for 16 years.
When she and her husband retired, they purchased land in Lake Elsinore and transformed it into their own oasis. They also had a house on the lake for the family to come together and vacation. Family was very important to Inga. She always took trips with the entire family back to her hometown in North Dakota.
Inga had many hobbies which included: collecting antiques, small business ventures, camping, cooking, quilting, gardening and taking care of animals.
One of her greatest accomplishments was compiling the family genealogy. It was her wish that her family always remember their heritage. Adored by many, she was a strong-willed Norwegian with a heart of gold, who lived an amazing life. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Inga is survived by her children: Rebecca Tiano, Ramona Stanovich (Martin), Jerry (Mickie) Kadrmas, and Sonja Biele (David); grandchildren: James (Greg) Crossman, Shannon Stanovich, Cory Ann Yniguez, Chelsey Utsler (Seth); and great-grandchild, Hunter Crossman; one sister, Annie Saulsberry of Evergreen, Colo., one brother, David Nelson of Keene; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, who passed away in 2009; one sister, Nora Miller of Mott, N.D.; and her parents.
