Todd Crawford

Todd Crawford, 40, of Finley, N.D., formerly of Watford City, N.D., was found dead Sunday, June 6, 2010, near Devils Lake, N.D. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 11, 2010, at the Watford City Wesleyan Church. Rev. Bruce Gunderson officiated and interment was in the Silent City Cemetery east of Watford City.
Todd Alan Crawford was born on March 6, 1970, in Kansas City, Mo., to Marjory (Brown) Crawford. Todd was raised and went to high school in Watford City, N.D. After high school, he went on to the North Dakota State School of Science, where he earned a degree in Architectural Drafting. He then moved on to work as a drafter in Fargo, N.D., where he met his wife, Kari.
Todd married Kari Dekker on April 11, 2001, in Kauai, Hawaii, and built a life in Omaha, Neb. In 2006, their son, Joseph Alan, was born. Todd, Kari and Joe continued to live in Omaha until August of 2009, when they moved to Finley, N.D., and Todd began farming and working construction.
Todd loved the outdoors and jumped at the chance to spend time hunting, fishing and golfing. He could often be found watching Nascar or at a local hockey game with Kari and Joe. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Todd is survived by his wife, Kari (Dekker) Crawford, and his son, Joseph of Finley; his mother, Marjory (Brown) Crawford of Granville, N.D.; his brother, Mel of Granville; his father and mother-in-law, Joe and Barb Dekker of Finley; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
