Anton Heiser

Anton “Tony” Heiser, 88 of Dickinson, formerly of Grassy Butte, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at CHI St. Joseph’s Health in Dickinson.
Anton Heiser was born April 21, 1927, in Dickinson, N.D., the son of John and Katie (Heiser) Heiser.  
He grew up and attended country school in the Grassy Butte area. Tony worked with his parents on the family ranch, which he later took over with his brother, Jacob. Together they operated the farm and ranch.
On June 14, 1966, Tony and Jane Schwartzenberger were united in marriage. To this union two children were born; Jeremy and Georgia.  
In 2005, Tony and Jacob retired and sold the family ranch. Tony and Jane moved into Dickinson where they made their home since.  
Tony enjoyed listening to music, especially watching “Molly B” and dancing the Waltz. He loved to spend time snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, hunting, working with his horses and traveling. Tony enjoyed his afternoon drives with Jane as well. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Tony is survived by his wife, Jane; son, Jeremy of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Georgia Heiser of Fargo, N.D.; brothers, Christ (Ilene) of Dickinson, N.D., Fred (Dorothy) of Bozeman, Mont., Frank (Frances) of Wyo.; sisters, Barbara (John) Metz  and Catherine Eberts all of Dickinson, N.D.; and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, and three sisters.  
A Funeral Mass for Anton was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Father Shannon Lucht celebrated. A private family burial will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Visitation for Tony was from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with a rosary and vigil service being held at 5:30 p.m.
