William Herrmann

William Wesley (Wes) Herrmann, 37, of Watford City, N.D., passed away on Jan. 14, in St. Paul, Minn., due to an accident in the oil fields. Wes was born on Aug. 24, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia.
His parents are Charles and Ann Herrmann of Conyers, Ga., and his sister is Reagan Nilsson of San Clemente, Calif.
Wes was a 1995 graduate of Heritage High School in Conyers, Ga. In his younger years, Wes was involved in BMX racing and was ranked #1 in Ga. In high school, Wes played on the football team and was an accomplished wrestler. After high school, Wes was a competitive rock crawler. When he wasn’t fixing and rebuilding jeeps to sell you could find him in the mountains with friends rock crawling in his blue jeep.
In 2012, Wes moved to North Dakota to work in the oil fields. Success quickly followed. In 2014, Wes opened his own business, Legendary Field Services, and within four months, had grown to four working crews. Wes made friends easily everywhere he went. He was always the life of the party, and you knew you were going to have a lot more fun if Wes was around.
Wes also had a big heart. From N.D., he sponsored a softball team and a school fundraiser, both in Georgia, for another friend. He participated in buying gifts in his area for needy children. If there was a need, Wes could be counted on to help.
In his spare time, Wes loved traveling in the Northwest. He could be found visiting Deadwood, snowboarding, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting pheasant or being a weekend ranch hand. Wes had decided he would be buying a ranch in Montana with cattle to enjoy on his days off. He lived life to the fullest with no regrets.
Wes is survived by his parents, sister, Uncle Tommy, nephew Anders, niece Ava, and other aunts, uncles, cousins, and many that considered him their ‘brother.’ Celebration of Life services will be held in Watford City, N.D. and Conyers, Ga. Information can be found on Wes’ Facebook page.
