Solveig was born Aug. 10, 1912 to Harold and Olga Wold in rural Rawson, ND. She attended schools in that area and went on to graduate from Alexander High School.
She had one daughter Judy. In November 1935, she married Otto Stenseth and had two more children Ordis and Stuart. Otto passed in 1975. Solveig continued on the farm for many years after Otto’s passing. In 1982, she married Manuel Hagen, a long time friend.

She so enjoyed her job as cook at the Arnegard School. She was charter member of the Arnegard Lioness Club, and became a lifetime member of Sons of Norway.
In 2002, Solveig decided to leave the farm and move to Colorado to be near her daughter, Ordis. She lived in a retirement community in Littleton, Colo., for 12 years. She so enjoyed all the activities in this busy community. While there, she volunteered at an elementary school and sewed quilts for Interfaith Task Force. Solveig moved to assisted living in 2006 and continued there until she moved to a nursing home in 2013.
Solveig will be greatly missed as she was an inspiration to her family and friends right up to the end of her life.
