Francis ‘Tex’ Gludt, 87, West Fargo, N.D., died on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013. His memorial service was held on Dec. 12, 2013, West Fargo, with burial at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, N.D.
Tex was born on July 29, 1926 in Harvey, N.D., to George and Marie (Fronk) Gludt. He graduated from high school in Harvey and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Phyllis Borg in Stanley, N.D., in 1954. Tex worked for Northwestern Bell in Harvey, Watford City, Williston and Fargo N.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Donavan Harris.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis; children, Bobbie (Wally) Kowitz, Rice Lake, N.D., Pam (Tom) Suelzle, Watford City, Nick (Julie) Gludt, West Fargo, Mary (David) Burg, Williston, Patricia (Dave) Dillman, Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren; Christopher (Catherine) Suelzle, Dickinson, Ben Suelzle, Watford City, Tyler Gludt, Albany, Ga., Ali Gludt, Ramsey, Minn., Mathew Dillman, San Diego, Calif., Casey Dillman, Sacramento, Calif., Seth and Jared Burg, Williston; great-grandson, Haakon Suelzle; sisters, Lucille Harris, Chandler, Ariz., Carol (Reinhold) Schlosser, Waseca, Minn., Sharon (Ron) Stenson, Bismarck, N.D.; and many nieces and nephews.
