Francis (Frank) Dunn passed away on Oct. 24, 2013 at his home in Spokane, Wash. He was born in Watford City, N.D., on Aug. 4, 1956. They were blessed with three children.
He spent his early years working on local farms and later, as an oilfield roughneck during the first North Dakota oil boom in the 50s. Most of his adult life was spent driving truck, hauling many different types of hauls, most recently driving for Econo Mart out of Williston, N.D.
Frank and Betty moved from Tioga, N.D. to 534 E. Cozza Dr., Spokane, Wash., in the fall of 2012.
He took a lot of pride in his 1940 John Deere tractor he had restored and drove in many parades in North Dakota and western Montana. Later, he also restored a 1969 Olds Cutlass once belonging to his father-in-law and that vehicle was added to his parade entries.
Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, friends and father-in-law, Joe.
He was a member of the Free Lutheran Church, Tioga, N.D.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; sons: Clark (Sabrina) Dunn, Templeton, Calif.; Scott (Jean) Dunn, Spokane, Wash.; and daughter, Debra (Gary) McLawhorn, Chesapeake, Va.; Sisters: Ramona (Brian) Dibble, Glendive, Mont.; Darlene Hill, Worland, Wyo.; Charlene (Ron) Torgerson, Watertown, S.D.; Brother: Thomas Dunn, Williston, N.D.; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Frank was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His unique sense of humor and love of life will be missed by his family and friends.
