Alice Danner

Alice M. Danner, 90, of Willmar died Tuesday, July 10, at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar, Minn. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 13, at Church of St. Mary in Willmar, with interment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Murdock, Minn.
 Alice Marie Danner was born Dec. 18, 1922, in Winneshiek County, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Della (Baker) Mathews. She attended country school in Winneshiek County. On April 13, 1940, Alice was united in marriage to Thomas Klema in Winneshiek County. In 1948, they moved to North Dakota. Thomas preceded her in death in 1971. On May 13, 1972, she married Gilbert Danner in Minot, N.D. They lived in North Dakota prior to moving to Willmar in 1998. Gilbert preceded her in death in 2001.
Alice was baptized on Jan. 28, 1923, and confirmed her faith on May 22, 1939, at St. Agnes Church in Plymouth Rock, Iowa. She was currently a member of Church of St. Mary in Willmar.
Surviving are her children: Betty Allen of Mesa, Ariz., Wayne (and Brenda) Klema of Kerkhoven, Minn., Shirley Markwardt of Parma, Ohio, Pat (and Larry) Dewhirst of Mesa, Ariz., Gerald (and Teri) Klema of Elk River, Minn.; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and five sisters.
