Tracy L. Kummer

Visitation for Tracy L. Kummer, 54, of Hatton, N.D., formerly of the Keene area, was held Monday, June 24, 2013, at the Fulkerson Funeral Home in Watford City. Cremation followed the visitation under the care of Fulkerson Funeral Home of Watford City.
Tracy Lyn was born on Dec. 12, 1958, in Sidney, Mont., the daughter of George and Bonnie (Brodhead) Kummer. The family made their home on the family farm near Keene, N.D., where Tracy grew up. She attended schools in Keene, Sidney, Mont., and graduated from Watford City High School in 1978. After graduation, Tracy moved to Fargo, N.D., to live and work. In 2001, Tracy moved to Hatton, N.D., to live and work. She worked at Golden Lake and several different places while living there.  She always came home in the summer to the family farm to help out.
Tracy enjoyed embroidering, riding horses, playing yahtzee and pinochle. She loved fishing, spending time with her dog, Jetta, and all animals. Tracy taught her dog, Jetta, sign language. When it was time to go for a walk, she would sign it and Jetta would go get her leash. She also enjoyed helping people by doing yard work or anything they needed done. Tracy loved to watch every cooking and baking show she could. That helped her to come up with new ideas to cook and bake for the family.
Tracy died late Wednesday evening, June 19, 2013, at the Trinity Hospital in Minot, N.D.
Surviving her are her daughter, Jada Kummer, Watford City, N.D.; her son, Brey Kummer, Watford City, N.D.; her parents, George and Bonnie Kummer, Watford City, N.D.; her sister, Lana Swensrud, Sidney, Mont.; her brother, Joe Kummer, Watford City, N.D.; her uncle, Stewart Brodhead, Dickinson, N.D.; and several cousins.
