In May 2006, Opal broke her hip and moved into the Good Shepherd Home in Watford City where she has resided since.
Opal is survived by her sons, Wayne Sanderson of Bismarck, N.D., Melvin Sanderson of Bual, Idaho, and Robert (Cindy) Sanderson of Portland, N.D.; daughters, Sandra (Patrick) Ragains and Lois (Richard) Beane both of Watford City, N.D.; and 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and her extended family through the marriage to Clayton Greaves.
