Chad Running

Chad McKay Running, 35, of Craig, Colo., died unexpectedly Thursday, Aug. 1, 2011, at Flaming Gorge, Utah while on a family camping/boating trip.
Chad was born Aug. 12, 1976 in Watford City, N.D. He graduated from Moffat County High School in 1994. He married his wife, Lynnette (Kroese) Running, of 15 years, on Aug. 17, 1996. Chad’s employment history included working for his parents’ business - D&R Roustabout. He was a Reserve Deputy for the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department, and a Reserve Deputy for the Idaho Fish & Game. In 1999, Chad and Lynnette started their own business, Northwest Weed Management, Inc., in which Chad proudly served his customers in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming.
In 2001, Chad and Lynnette welcomed their daughter, Caitlin Marie, and in 2003 welcomed their son, Daniel James. Chad loved and cherished his family and was an extraordinary father. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, boating, knee-boarding, skiing, camping, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family.
He was a friend and mentor to many and enriched all who knew him with his sense of humor and his endless ability to lend a hand when help was needed. He was lovingly referred to as ‘Chaddy Boy’ or ‘Jug Head.’ He will be missed, but never forgotten, by those who knew and loved him.
Chad is survived by his wife, Lynnette, daughter, Caitlin, and son, Daniel, of Craig, Colo.; parents, Randy and Debbie Running of Beulah, N.D.; sister, Stacy Sis (Matt) of Craig, Colo.; grandmother, Alice Kessler of Beulah, N.D.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Patty Kroese of Craig, Colo.; brother-in-law, Donnie Kroese III (Cori) of Craig, Colo.; sister-in-law, Shelly Duzik (Justin) of Craig, Colo.; and sister-in-law, Kelly Peed (Brad) of Craig, Colo. and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
