Girls golf team qualifies for State

With a second place finish at the Region 6 Girls Golf Tournament, which was played at the Fox Hills Golf Course in Watford City, on May 12, the Watford City girls golf team punched its ticket to the State Class B Girls Golf Tournament.
The Wolves carded a team score of 444 to trail the New Town team that won the tournament with a score of 432.
The Wolves were led by Abby McCauley, who fired an 18-hole score of 102, followed by Kasi Sorenson, 104; Kendra Foreman, 115; Olivia Gronos, 123; and Jayden Uhlich, 125.
McCauley, Sorenson and Foreman finished in third, fourth and seventh place, individually, to be named to the All-Region Team, while Sorenson was named the Region 6 Senior Athlete of the Year.
The Class B State Girls Golf Tournament will be held May 27 and 28 at the Jamestown Country Club.
