Watford boys golf team takes third at Northwest Conf.

The Watford City boys golf team fired a team score of 336 to take third place at the Northwest Conference Golf Meet, which was played on Monday, May 4, in Burlington.
Coleton MacDonell led the Watford City boys as he finished in a tie for sixth place individually with an 18-hole score of 78.
Stanley won the tournament with a score of 322, followed by Kenmare, 329; Watford City, 336; Divide County, 342; Des Lacs-Burlington, 349; Tioga, 350; Parshall-New Town, 360; and Burke Central, 441.
Also competing for the Wolves was Jamison Flynn, 85; Korbin Knutson, 86; Brett Skarda, 87; Jon Dunn, 88; and Adrian Castaneda, 93.
The boys team also took third place at the New Town Invitational on Friday, May 1.
At that tournament, Jamison Flynn fired an 18-hole score of 80 to lead the Wolves.
Stanley won the tournament with a team score of 320, followed by Tioga, 335; Watford City, 337; Kenmare, 338; Watford City JV, 377; Divide County, 378; Des Lacs-Burlington, 380; New Town-Parshall, 396; and  Burke Central, 420.
Other scores for the Wolves’ varsity team were Brett Skarda, 84; Jon Dunn, 86; Colton MacDonell, 87; Korbin Knutson, 88; and Adrian Castaneda, 89.
Scores from the Watford City JV team were Logan Mehlhoff, 88; Cooper Knutson, 93; Kallen LaDue-Bruington, 97; Sean Larsen, 99; Lane Kinden, 100; Austin Johnson, 102; Jarek Hogue, 107; and Brady Leiseth, 109.
