Titans edge Wolves in volleyball play

In one of Watford City’s best matches of the season, Dickinson Trinity edged the Wolves, 3-2, in volleyball action last Wednesday.
“It was a great battle between two very good teams,” stated Brad Foss, Wolves’ head coach.
This next week the Wolves will be closing out their regular season play when Beulah comes to town on Friday before Watford City hosts Washburn on Tuesday.

Dickinson Trinity 3, Watford City 2
It took five games to determine the winner of the Watford City versus Dickinson Trinity volleyball match last Wednesday.
In a see-saw match, the Wolves took the first game, 25-21, with the Titans coming back to take the second game. Watford City then went up, 2-1, as the Wolves took the third game by a score of 25-14.
But Dickinson Trinity would take the final two games, 25-15 and 17-15, to win the match.
Ricki Lindley led the Wolves offensively with 11 kills, while Kara Langerud had four service aces. Defensively, Emily Segneri had six blocks, while Alli Mogen had 18 digs.
Individual statistics for Watford City from the match were as follows:
Kills: Ricki Lindley, 11; Katie Mogen, 10; Kara Langerud, 10.
Assists: Tarynn Jacobson, 21; Alli Mogen, 20.
Digs: A. Mogen, 18; Lindley, 14; Bailee Garmann, 12.
Blocks: Emily Segneri, 6; K. Mogen, 5; Jacobson, 1.
Aces: Langerud, 4; K. Mogen, 2; Lindley, 2.
