Spikers roll over Parshall

Watford City split in varsity volleyball action this past week as the Wolves fell to Stanley, 3-1, last Tuesday and then bounced back to knock off Parshall, 3-0, on Thursday evening.
This week, the Wolves hope to keep their winning ways going as Watford City hosts Trenton on Thursday and then travels to Beach on Saturday. Watford City will then close out this week’s schedule on Tuesday as Dickinson Trinity comes to town.

Stanley 3, Watford City 1
Watford City had the momentum early last Tuesday as the Wolves picked up a 25-15 win in the first game against a very strong Stanley team. But the Blue Jays came back to take the next three games by scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-19.
Tarynn Jacobson and Tessa Dwyer had two service aces each, while Ricki Lindley had eight kills to lead Watford City’s offensive efforts. Defensively, Dwyer had 15 digs, while Amanda Mogen and Lindley had two blocks for the Wolves.

Watford City 3, Parshall 0
Watford City’s offense came alive last Thursday as the Wolves rolled over the Parshall Braves in three quick games.
Offensively, Watford City had one of their best games of the season as the Wolves had 19 service aces and 22 kills in downing the Braves, 25-20, 25-19, and 25-17.
Tori Hopkins led the Wolves with seven aces, while Kara Langerud had eight kills. Defensively, Amanda Mogen led the team with two blocks and 11 digs.
