Spikers fall to Stanley, earn win over Parshall

The Watford City Wolves split in varsity volleyball action this past week as the Wolves fell to Stanley 3-1 and then swept Parshall 3-0.
The Wolves, who have a 6-3 dual record and an overall record of 14-7, will be on the road this week as they travel to Trenton on Thursday and then compete in the Beach Tournament on Saturday.
Stanley 3, Watford City 1
It was another “off night” for Watford City last Tuesday as the Wolves struggled offensively against the Stanley Blue Jays.
The Wolves lost a close first game, 26-24, and then dropped the second game, 25-11. While Watford City rebounded to take the third game, 25-18, Stanley closed out the match winning the fourth game, 25-19.
Tori Hopkins led the Wolves with seven service aces and 22 assists, while Amanda Mogen had nine kills and 11 digs. Katie Mogen ended the match with five blocks.

Watford City 3, Parshall 0
Watford City rebounded from its    earlier loss to Stanley with an easy win over the Parshall Braves last Thursday.
The Wolves took the first two games by scores of 25-18 and 25-19 and then polished off the Braves with a 25-9 win in the third game of the match.
Taylor Dwyer had six service aces in the game, while McKayla Haugeberg had six kills. Tori Hopkins recorded 15 assists while Katie Mogen and Jessica Brown ended the night with two blocks each.
