Jorgenson wins barrel racing, breakaway roping at fair rodeo

When the dust finally settled at the McKenzie County Fair Rodeo on Saturday, Watford City’s own Samantha Jorgenson walked away as the big money winner in the North Dakota Rodeo Association’s sanctioned rodeo.
Jorgenson pocketed a cool $757.48 as she posted a winning time of 14.653 in the ladies barrel racing and then earned another $548.68 winning the ladies breakaway roping with a time of 2.6 seconds.
Other money winners in this year’s NDRA Rodeo that was held indoors in the McKenzie County Multi-Purpose Building were:
