Alexander readies for Old Settlers’ Day

The long Labor Day weekend brings a long-running local celebration to the week.
Alexander’s 71st annual Old Settlers’ Day Celebration is set for Thursday through Saturday, honoring members of the Sanders family this year and featuring such events as a chili cook-off, park barbecue and street dance.
The three days of fun get started Thursday with a bonfire at 7 p.m.
